Privacy policy

This policy describes how Volver Studio collects and processes the personal data of people who visit the site and interact with its features, in compliance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data controller

The controller of the data processing is Volver Studio, with registered office at Via Cassarinetta 26, 6900 Lugano, Svizzera.

What data we collect, and why

We collect only the data needed to answer your requests and to run the experiences the site offers. There are three distinct situations.

a. Contact form

When you write to us through the contact form we collect your name, your email address and the message you enter. This data is stored in a PostgreSQL database and sent to the Studio by email through the Resend service, for the sole purpose of reading your request and replying to you.

b. Voice conversation «Talk to us»

If you start the live voice conversation, the audio from your microphone is transmitted in real time, through a proxy of ours, to Google Vertex AI (Gemini model) in order to generate the answers. Transmission happens only while the conversation is active and with your explicit consent to the use of the microphone. Transcripts and usage data of the feature may be recorded to ensure the service works, to keep it secure and to improve the experience.

c. Visit statistics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand, in aggregate form, how the site is used (page views, referral, device). This is aggregated and anonymous data, which does not identify the individual person and contains no personal information.

Legal basis for processing

We process contact form and voice conversation data on the basis of your consent and of the interest in following up on your request (performance of pre-contractual measures). Visit statistics rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the site working, secure and open to improvement, processing aggregated data only.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form data for as long as it takes to handle your request and to maintain a reasonable history of communications. Transcripts and usage logs of the voice conversation are kept for the time strictly useful to the purposes stated. Aggregated analytics data is kept according to the provider’s terms. Once those periods have passed, the data is deleted or anonymised.

Recipients and external processors

To deliver the service we rely on providers who process data on our behalf, as data processors:

  • Google Vertex AI (Gemini) - processing of the live voice conversation.
  • Resend - delivery to the Studio of the emails generated by the contact form.
  • Vercel - hosting of the site and aggregated visit statistics.
  • Neon / PostgreSQL - storage of the messages sent through the contact form.

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Transfers outside Switzerland and the EU

Some of the providers listed may process data on servers located outside Switzerland and the European Union, in particular in the United States. In those cases the transfer takes place in compliance with the safeguards provided by applicable law (for example standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions), to protect your data.

Your rights

As a data subject you may, within the limits set by law, request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, the restriction of or objection to processing, as well as data portability. You may also withdraw the consent you gave at any time, without this affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. Finally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
